Oh hey, friends.
If you don’t live under a rock, you’re well aware of the novel Coronavirus and the hell it has unleashed upon the entire planet. If you’re a bride or groom planning your wedding, you’ve probably had to postpone or dramatically downsize your event. While everything kind of sucks right now, it isn’t the end of the world AND you can still achieve what you set out to do: marry the love of your life. Keep reading and I’ll tell you how.
While the wedding industry as a whole has drastically changed since March 2020, we haven’t just taken it lying down. I’m so proud of my fellow vendors and the creative ways they are still serving their clients and the way my couples are charging through every single hurdle (because let’s be real, wedding planning itself is stressful without a pandemic involved). I’ve seen brides go from planning big, elaborate weddings with 300 of their favorite people to an intimate gathering of family only in their backyard; I’ve seen couples intent on a destination wedding just pack up their officiant, dress, and bouquet and go somewhere epic within their home state (yes, epic places in Texas exist); I’ve seen couples postpone their big celebration and have an intimate ceremony only with their parents or kids involved. All of these things are ok and all of these things accomplish the goal: GETTING FREAKING HITCHED!
I am constantly inspired by my community and their perseverance. So I had an idea… create a package perfect for the couples who just want to marry the love of their life. No frills, no huge guest list… keep it simple. Photography. Florist. Officiant. When I first thought of it, I knew that I had to team up with an amazing florist, and there’s no one else I’d rather work with than Taylor with Lilium Floral Design. She and I started a business relationship back in 2013 and its blossomed into a friendship. Her floral creations are works of art and she continually blows my mind with her creativity and knowledge of flowers. Another need on a wedding day is the officiant. Unfortunately, you can’t self solemnize in Texas like you can do in other states, so you require an officiant to make it legal (not just Facebook official). Luckily for me, I’m married to the hottest tattooed Texas ordained officiant in the entire state. Yep, Marc can legally marry you two! Not religious? That’s his specialty. Same sex? Love is love, baby! So with this glorious partnership, you can say “I Do” in an intimate setting somewhere in DFW–side note: if you need a list of recommendations on gorgeous places (both indoor and outdoor), I got you! All you need to bring is your rings (Ring Pops are ok), your wedding attire, and no more than 10 people. You’ll get 2 hours of Photography by moi, legally wed by Marc, and one stunner of a bridal bouquet by Lilium. All for $1,200.
Now for the fun part: the photos! I know you’ll recognize Paulette & Tristan. I’ve been photographing them since early 2019 and it’s always a party when these babes are in front of my camera. No, literally. There was even a dance party. While our original plans were to be in an open field surrounded by wildflowers, Texas weather had something else in mind and it just poured cold rain all. day. long. But that’s when Grant with The Darkroom saved the day! We moved everything indoors and still had a great time.
So if you’re wanting to still tie the knot and want to keep it simple, yet stunning, you know who to call.
Fun fact: you can totally get married at The Darkroom! They allow intimate events and it’s such a cool place!
Oh and that dress?! It’s a rental from Reclamation. They have the most swoon-worthy BOHO dresses of your dreams. This one is the aptly named Gold Glitter as it’s adorned with shimmery gold stars on the skirt and beautiful metallic threads on the kimono style sleeves. It’s flattering on every body type and moves so perfectly. Check out more of the stunning collection HERE!
Bouquet by the one and only Lilium Floral Design! This baby was HUGE and a style similar to this is included in your Elopement package.
