I honestly don’t even know where to start for this session, besides to say that I am UTTERLY OBSESSED WITH IT. The word “perfection” comes to mind…
When I met with Emma and Isaac at Sons of Liberty coffee shop here in Fort Worth a few months ago, I knew I wanted to work with them right away. They laughed together, they flirted together, and just constantly gushed about how excited they are for their upcoming wedding. When discussing plans for their engagement session, Isaac mentioned that his family has land out in Hico and that it’s very special to their relationship. If you’ve never been to Hico, it’s an absolute gem. Quiet rolling hills, small town vibes, and the best craft chocolate shop everrrr; so of course I was down to road trip out in the country to photograph their love.
The property was even more beautiful than I could’ve ever imagined. Over 2,000 acres of dairy farm complete with oak trees, big bunches of yellow canola, little lakes, and the most glorious lighting. The sun filtering through the trees kissed everything in its path, enveloping it in its golden glow. I knew from the get go that the session would be fantastic… but Isaac and Emma totally exceeded my expectations and we roamed around the farm and shot until the sun went down. From the time I put my camera up to my face, they were giggling with each other. Every pose or prompt just came naturally to them. Just when I thought it couldn’t get more perfect, we drove over to the pasture full of *pregnant* heifers! Muh heart. Sidenote: I keep telling Marc that when we buy a house, we’re going to have cows and silkie chickens. He still needs some convincing, but I’m already sold and have names picked out.
I know you guys are ready for these images. Here you go:
It’s easy to see why this is a favorite of mine. And as always, any animals are welcome during your engagement session <3
Congratulations, Emma & Isaac! Your wedding day is going to be incredible.
