Emily and Eric… where to even begin with your wedding day… first off: WOW. When Emily told me she envisioned a jeweled toned, Gatsby inspired wedding, I knew it was going to be one of my favorites of the year. The fact that the Bride & Groom hired Mayfield Events to make their dreams come true made it even better!
The day started at the historic Statler Hotel in downtown Dallas. The space is perfect for a staycation, as it has an eclectic mix of mid-century modern design with bright pops of color and TONS of natural light. Not only did it fit Emily’s vision, but it was right around the corner from their ceremony and reception venue: The Carlisle Room, which is also a historic landmark.
The two were married by a close family friend in an intimate gathering in one of the most beautiful rooms I’ve ever seen… all white everything with marble floors and gorgeous chandeliers and mercury glass mirrors. I will say, their ceremony wins for fastest marriage EVER as the time from the processional to recessional may have been 7 minutes, but probably less. Short, sweet, and to the point!
After the vows, guests made their way up the stairs for dinner, dessert, dancing, and entertainment provided by the one and only Royal Dukes Band! So much smiling, laughing, dancing, and partying… SO MUCH FUN!
When your Dad’s birthday and your wedding day coincide, you surprise him with a birthday cake!
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Ressman! Thank you both so much for your continued service to the medical world. <3 May you both be blessed with many years of love and laughter!
